Day 1: SANTIAGO DE CHILE

Your private driver and English-speaking guide await you at the Santiago airport! After settling into your hotel in the heart of the Chilean capital, you’ll take a private tour of this beautiful city at the foot of the Andes with your English-speaking guide. A modern metropole, Santiago has preserved its historic neighborhoods – true artifacts of the city’s past. The visit begins in the Republica neighborhood, home to Chilean artistocrats until the end of the 20th century. You’ll make your way to the Palais de la Moneda, where you’ll wind through the charming pedestrian streets in the heart of the historic quarter to arrive at the Plaza de Armas. Next stop: the famous Mercado Central, a lively, traditional spot perfect for a midday lunch stop! After lunch you’ll go to the top of the Cerro San Cristobal for a panoramic view of the city before visiting the modern neighborhood El Bosque, home to the highest tower in Latin America.

After dinner, the evening is free for you to get settled in your accommodations and visit the neighborhood at your leisure.

After breakfast, your private English-speaking guide and driver will whisk you away to the lovely wine-producing Lolol Valley. You’ll visit the renowned François Lurton vineyards, the first bodega in the region. The winery stretches over 28 hectares and offers wines perfected by the region’s ideal weather conditions and granite schist. Day 3: SANTA CRUZ – COLCHAGUA VALLEY – SANTA CRUZ

Today you’ll continue exploring the region’s vineyards, heading to the Colchagua Valley. The valley, stretching from the Andes in the east to the Pacific coast in the west, benefits from a moderate, Mediterranean climate. The grapes grown here mature slowly, allowing for rich, full-bodied wines. The valley is also known for its fruit and vegetable production, which is exported around the globe.

If you’d like, start the day with a visit to the Colchagua Museum – the largest in the country! Here, you’ll find pre-Columbian artefacts, weapons, Mapuche silver, huasos (cowboy) gear, as well as El Gran Rescate, an exhibit commemorating the famous 2010 rescue of 33 miners trapped 2,300 feet underground.

At the MontGras vineyards, you’ll explore the property and vines during an hour and a half bike ride before savoring a well-earned wine tasting of select bottles from the property. Enjoy lunch in this idyllic setting before returning to your hotel in Santa Cruz in the afternoon.
Feeling more creative than adventurous? You can choose to rest your legs and blend your own bottle of wine in place of the bike ride!
